What the browser extension reads, and where it stays.

Cyber Credential Setup is the CyberStanding browser extension for Chrome and Edge. It puts a gold box on the exact spot you need while you set up your Cyber Credential. It is operated by Cyber Assurance Group, Inc. Effective 22 October 2026.

What it does

While the Cyber Credential guide is open on a step, the extension draws a gold box around the control that step names on your GoDaddy DNS page or your Microsoft Defender DKIM page. When you click a button in the guide that opens GoDaddy or Microsoft and that page is already open in your browser, it brings that tab forward. If you choose, it shows the guide in your browser's side panel.

What it reads

On GoDaddy (dcc.godaddy.com) and Microsoft Defender (security.microsoft.com): the page's own visible words, such as button names, field labels, column headings and the lines in the records list, to find the spot for the box. This happens in your browser.

On CyberStanding pages (mycyberstanding.com): which step of the guide is open: the row, the step, its headline, your domain and your Credential code. The extension uses these to know which spot to box.

Tabs: whether a GoDaddy or Microsoft Defender page is open, so the guide can bring it forward.

What it never does

  • It never types into a page, and never clicks anything on GoDaddy or Microsoft.
  • It never reads what you type into a field.
  • It never sends anything anywhere. It makes no network requests of its own and has no analytics or tracking.
  • It never runs code from anywhere else. Everything it runs is inside the extension.
  • It works only on the sites listed on this page.

Where it keeps things

The open step is kept in your browser for the current browser session only, and is gone when you close the browser. One setting, whether the guide opens in its own window or in the side panel, is kept in your browser until you remove the extension. Nothing is kept anywhere else.

Selling or sharing

The extension collects nothing to sell or share. We do not sell, rent or trade information.

Permissions

  • dcc.godaddy.com, security.microsoft.com: to draw the gold box on those pages.
  • mycyberstanding.com: to know which step of the guide is open.
  • storage: to keep the open step for this session, and the window or side panel setting.
  • sidePanel: to show the guide in the browser's side panel, when you choose it.
  • declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess: to let the CyberStanding guide page show inside the extension's side panel. It applies only to that one frame; every other page is left as it is.

Removing it

The extension is recommended for setup and not required. Every step works without it. You can remove it at any time from your browser's extensions page; removing it deletes everything it kept.
